About the job
• Play a key role in unlocking investment opportunities for tier 1 institutional investors such as Private Equity funds, by finding insights from data related to Software & tech companies • Work with the Leadership & Product team to understand business needs and propose relevant approaches • Extract and transform data about software companies, including financial data (e.g. revenue, growth, EBITDA, etc.), non-financial data (e.g., description, number of employees, HQ, etc.) and alternative data sets (e.g., Google news, social media, etc.) - from multiple sources including internal databases, web scraping, REST APIs, etc. to prepare for data analysis and modelling • Design and develop Data science algorithms and Machine Learning models to implement use cases, e.g., designing supervised learning algorithms to classify Software & tech companies, implementing algorithms to map relations between companies (e.g., competitors) • Contribute to industrializing these use cases to enable embedding insights in our products (Web platforms) • Help grow the data science team by hiring data engineers & data scientists, and coaching them Requirements • You have a Data Science background, with 3+ years of experience • You are highly proficient in Python, and you have experience with Machine Learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc.) and ideally with web scraping frameworks such as Scrapy • You have experience in training and deploying Machine Learning models • You can present technical concepts to diverse, technical, and non-technical audiences • You like to code following best practices (e.g., clean & simple code, continuous testing, version control) • You like working in a team setting • You are not afraid of challenges, are proactive and self-motivated
