Job Description:

The Consultant Neurologist is a senior medical professional responsible for diagnosing, managing, and treating disorders of the nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles. This role requires extensive clinical experience and a commitment to delivering high-quality neurological care in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations. Working in a hospital or specialty clinic, the consultant collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered and evidence-based treatment plans.


Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing neurological conditions through comprehensive evaluations, imaging, and diagnostic tests.

  • Developing and managing individualized treatment plans for patients with conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease.

  • Performing and interpreting procedures such as EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies.

  • Consulting with other medical specialists and coordinating multidisciplinary care where required.

  • Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment regimens as necessary.

  • Educating patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term care strategies.

  • Participating in clinical audits, quality assurance programs, and medical education initiatives.

  • Ensuring all clinical practices are in line with UAE health authority guidelines and licensing standards.


Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completion of specialized training in Neurology.

  • Valid UAE medical license .

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of post-specialization clinical experience, including consultant-level practice.

  • Proven expertise in diagnosing and treating a broad range of neurological disorders.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, patient communication, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong command of English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

  • Commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based medicine.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and hospital systems.
