CREDENTIALS/EDUCATION:
· Bachelor’s Degree in related field required. Master’s Degree and /or CPA preferred
· Extensive experience in computerized financial accounting systems, preferable in a community college setting
· Effective management, organization, and communication skills
· Ability to work with staff, faculty, students and general public
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for the fiscal affairs of the college and the monitoring of the college’s financial position, including direct supervision of the business office and local, state and federal statutes and regulations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare and coordinate all budgetary and financial procedures for the college in compliance with local, state and federal statutes and regulations.
2. Continually monitor the college’s financial position relative to revenues and expenditures; advise the President and Administrative Council of current financial position.
3. Oversee operations of business office.
4. Coordinate competitive procurement process for purchase of major goods and services.
5. Coordinate budget reporting for local, state, and federal grants; assist with other report preparation.
6. Responsible for all college liability insurance needs.
7. Serve as a member of the Board/Administration negotiating team.
