Our innovative pyrolysis products serve emerging markets in agriculture, soil remediation, construction materials, and water filtration. As pioneers in this space, we’re seeking a driven Business Development Executive to lead market creation and drive our growth.
The Role
As the Business Development Executive, you’ll spearhead the development of markets for TerraBaru’s biochar products across diverse applications. This role demands strategic vision, hands on execution, and exceptional relationship-building to establish TerraBaru as a leader in sustainable solutions. Your top priority will be to deliver a comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and plan within the first three months, setting the foundation for scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1.Business Development & Market Creation
- Design and execute a robust GTM strategy for biochar products, tailored to agriculture, soil remediation, construction, and water filtration markets.
- Conduct market sizing, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify high-potential opportunities.
- Build initial sales channels and distribution networks to bring TerraBaru’s products to market.
- Develop compelling value propositions and business cases to showcase biochar’s benefits across industries.
- Set and achieve ambitious sales targets aligned with TerraBaru’s growth objectives.
2.Regulatory & Stakeholder Engagement
- Forge strong relationships with regulatory bodies governing agriculture, including fertilizers, water, and pesticides, to ensure compliance and market access.
- Identify and pursue strategic partnerships with industry players, research institutions, and government agencies to enhance scalability and innovation.
- Negotiate commercial agreements to secure market opportunities and foster long-term collaborations.
- Represent TerraBaru in industry associations and with local government to build a supportive ecosystem.
3.Product Validation & Market Insights
- Collaborate with the product innovation team to design and execute testing programs with clients, validating biochar’s performance across applications.
- Gather market feedback and trends to refine product formulations, optimize pricing, and develop new use cases.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven success in business development, market development, or sales, ideally in sustainable products, agriculture, or environmental technologies.
- Demonstrated experience crafting and executing GTM strategies for innovative or emerging products.
- Strong skills in market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and verbal).
- Comfortable building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including regulators, clients, and partners.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, balancing independent work with team collaboration.
- Knowledge of agricultural inputs, environmental technologies, or pyrolysis products is a strong plus.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Indonesia.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agricultural Science, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. MBA is a plus.
