Business Analyst – Worcester – £432.91 per day umbrella – Contract until 23rd August 2019 (likely extension)
Our client is a large public sector organisation who requires a Business Analyst to provide business analysis services and produce ‘As Is’ and ‘To Be’ models and reference documentation in support of the cost effective and efficient delivery of technology improvement projects across the Group.
This job sits within the Enterprise Architecture and project delivery teams. You will be responsible for delivering high quality business analysis services to strategic projects in order to support the design and delivery of strategic technology change initiatives. You will be required to utilise a range of analytical techniques in order to produce clear and concise documentation, including business requirements, business process models and capability models.
Responsibilities:
* Identify all stakeholders and business processes that fall within the scope of assigned projects
* Produce ‘As Is’ analysis by way of facilitating and documenting the output from ‘As Is’ workshops, or reviewing and developing existing ‘As Is’ documentation
* Utilise a range of modelling and analytical techniques to discover and communicate current working practices and supporting technology
* Identify the need for further analysis and pursue ‘deep dive’ analysis as dictated by the needs, risks and priorities of projects
* Work with subject matter experts in order to use their ‘As Is’ knowledge as an input into solution design and develop ‘To Be’ process models
* Work with data managers in order to support data mapping, cleansing and migration planning
Requirements:
* Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
* Proven experience in working with others to deliver business change and demonstrate improved efficiency
* Proven experience of proactively and independently managing business process documentation through workshops and interviews
* Proven experience in business process re-engineering and development
* Proven experience of proactively and independently writing detailed requirements documents, impact analysis and gap analysis
* Proven experience in supporting testing and acceptance of process improvements and system changes
* Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
* Proven experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and designing business process solutions
* Some experience of using advanced business process modelling tools e.g. ARIS, iServer, Casewise etc.
