A Bank Service Specialist is responsible for reviewing and evaluating financial institutions’ records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. A Bank service specialist will begin working under a supervisor until a specified time or until they show the ability to work independently. When unusual situations arise, they present the pertinent information to the appropriate bank service specialist or director and follow their advice.- Become familiar with the firm’s policies and procedures- Obtain a working knowledge of federal and state banking regulations, such as Truth in Lending, RESPA, Equal Credit Opportunity, Electronic Funds Transfer, Truth in Savings, Availability of Funds, and Bank Secrecy Act regulations- Obtain a working knowledge of firm technology, including the use of industry specific software.- Evaluate banking clients for compliance with laws and regulations- Perform assigned procedures and adequately document workpapers as per engagement.- Become proficient in the preparation of the workpapers/worksheets and Agreed Upon Procedures reports, including key findings and recommendations.- Develop good work habits and be able to work independently on most engagements.- Acquire the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty.- Participate in client meetings and executive presentations- Interface with the senior management of our clients- Become proficient in knowledge of pertinent bank laws and regulations, auditing principals, and general business principals and maintain the standards of the Banking Administration Institute (BAI).This job involves working remotely from home or on the client’s premises.
