This individual in this role will focus on designing, deploying, and optimizing secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud infrastructures. While collaborating closely with product, development, and data teams to ensure reliable operations, robust security, and seamless scalability of our SaaS solutions.

The base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $175,000. Valitana offers a competitive compensation package which includes a base salary and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, healthcare with medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, and PTO.
Employees in this role will work in the office Mondays through Wednesdays with the flexibility to work remotely Thursdays and Fridays.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure supporting our structured finance products.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial industry security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud infrastructure performance and reliability issues.
- Partner with development teams to enable secure, scalable, and efficient application deployments.
- Manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning.
- Collaborate with InfoSec to maintain compliance with SOC 2, GDPR, and other financial industry standards.
- Stay current with AWS innovations and trends to recommend improvements.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering or DevOps roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field.
- Expertise with AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.).
- Strong background in infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, etc.
- Proficiency in monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as CloudWatch.
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles and financial regulatory requirements.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred but not required.
