About the Role
Shop Circle is hiring an Applied AI Engineer based in Milan to help build and deploy AI agents that automate real business use cases across customer experience, finance, tech development, legal, and marketing.
The role combines strong technical skills with a hands-on, practical approach. You’ll move fast from prototype to production and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, fine-tune, and evaluate AI models (LLMs, embeddings, classifiers, RAG pipelines).
- Design, test, and optimize prompts and agents for internal and product use cases.
- Integrate AI features into tools and workflows used by different business units.
- Analyze model results, collect feedback, and iterate for higher accuracy and reliability.
- Stay up to date with the latest tools and frameworks in applied AI.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Applied AI.
- Strong Python skills and experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
- Solid understanding of NLP, embeddings, and model evaluation methods.
- Proven experience turning AI prototypes into production-ready solutions.
- Practical mindset — able to balance speed, quality, and scalability.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SaaS or e-commerce software.
- Knowledge of RAG systems or vector databases.
- Familiarity with prompt evaluation or reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF).
