Thread AI

Thread AI is focused on building an AI-native workflow orchestration engine looking for dedicated individuals to join its growing team. Our goal is to make infrastructure simple for enterprises and public sector agencies seeking to get the most from AI.

Headquartered in New York, our growing team is a group of AI, product, and engineering experts, who have a track record of creating and executing against complex workflows and infrastructure.

Engineering Culture

We're a small and committed technical team that oversees engineering, research, design, product, and operations. We believe that a small dedicated team with a flat structure and collaborative culture can move faster and build better products than large hierarchical organizations.

About The Role

We are looking for a skilled engineer to play a key role in developing robust end to end AI workflows. On a daily basis, you will build end-to-end customer workflows, take them to production, and solve real world problems. You will be responsible for creating innovative, scalable, and high-performing software solutions that meet both the needs of our customers and the company's strategic objectives. You will also work directly with sales and marketing on forward leaning prototypes that will help shape the future product and infrastructure roadmaps of Thread AI and our customers.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong engineering background with a focus on delivering production AI workflows with experience in data processing pipelines and advanced analytics tools

  • Experience working with AI/ML tools and products, with an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the technologies

  • Strong coder with demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in teams of technical and non-technical individuals, with a strong spike in clear communication to both internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience with database systems (SQL/NoSQL, embeddings) and data storage solutions.

  • A strong emphasis on high decomp skills, with the ability think creatively to develop effective solutions to complex design challenges while balancing project delivery expectations

  • Work experience with software development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)

  • Leadership and collaboration qualities, enthusiasm for real-world, responsible impact

  • Ability and interest in traveling, if needed to client sites, but flexible based on personal preferences

We’re committed to creating a space where our employees can bring their full selves to work and have equal opportunity to succeed. So regardless of race, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, origin, ability, or age, we encourage you to apply!

Don’t meet every single requirement? If you’re excited about this role and the company but your past experience doesn’t align with every qualification, we still encourage you to apply anyway - we'd love to get to know you and see if there's a place for you at Thread!

Compensation

$145,000 - $200,000 + Equity

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or national or U.S. lawful, permanent resident.

This is a full-time, in-person position based at our New York City office.
