Job Description

General Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for assisting in collection efforts. Other responsibilities include providing invoices, credit memos and statements to customers, assisting in the management of the AR queue, and use of Salesforce and Oracle in daily activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

· Recurring reporting to Manager on collection activities/correspondence and updating of past due customer accounts with collection activities

· Must communicate and follow up effectively with larger Accounts Receivable team regarding questions on customer accounts on a timely basis

· Sort cases in Salesforce AR queue daily

· Send customers credit memo copies as issued

· Send customer statements

· Post and apply cash receipts and assist with cash application projects as needed

· Assist with system messaging for past due invoices

· Draft, send and track disruption of service notifications

· Prepare and send other notices to customers as required

· Participate in team planning meetings

· Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and sales

· Meet defined team goals and activity metrics

· Provide excellent and considerate customer service to customers and sales personnel

· Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Knowledge of Billing and Collections procedures

• Experience working in Accounts Receivable in an ERP

• Enthusiasm to be a team player and assist others when necessary

• Ability to escalate out of the ordinary problems and assist in resolution

• Strong attention to detail and must be goal oriented

• Commitment to excellent customer service

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities

• MS Excel, Word and Outlook

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Salesforce and Oracle

• 1-3 years corporate business to business collections experience
