Vaco Boston has partnered with our client to help fill an Accounts Receivable Specialist role.


Responsibilities

  • Process and record accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.

  • Generate and send customer invoices; follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collection.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or payment issues.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).

  • Perform regular aging analysis for both AP and AR and report findings to management.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve billing or payment issues.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation related to payables and receivables.

  • Contribute to process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting software.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong team player capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively ask questions.
  • Customer service orientation.
