Job Responsibilities:
The position will be responsible for ensuring Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) are properly applied to a variety of complex issues. Position is primarily responsible for the daily analysis of variances, reconciliations, financial reporting, and gross profit review. Assists in month end close processes.
· Review variances daily using MS Excel, external inventory data and closing reports
· Daily matching of invoices and BOL’s. Data entry related to delivered suppliers. Perform and review month end close process.
· This position requires the ability to identify research and resolve variances.
· Develop an in depth understanding of various complex business transactions and the corresponding accounting implications by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
· Communicating with internal and external stakeholders via email, BMC Remedy and MS SharePoint.
· Light journal entry accounting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Intermediate Excel (pivot tables and v-lookups)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
