Data Collection - Webhound (Korean - Simplified Mandarin)
Native speakers of various languages are needed to record scripted phrases (utterances) to help train search engine technology and improve accuracy.
The total project work time will be approximately 7 hours per project. Work time may be spread out, however, the participant chooses, but must be completed within 1 month. For example, a participant could recite utterances in their phone for 30 minutes per day for approximately 2 weeks or for 1 hour per day for 1 week. Participants may be assigned to more than one project.
Key responsibilities
Record your own voice in a quiet environment Submit recordings in a timely manner For this audio collection project you will record a variety of spoken sentences. Through an app, you will be shown a code-mixed prompt and speak aloud a new sentence that is inspired/similar to what is on the screen instead of reading exactly what you see. It is important that the spoken sentence is also code-mixed and contains both languages.
Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in Korean Proficiency in Simplified Mandarin Fluency in English Prompts may contain both Simplified and Traditional Mandarin, so workers should be able to read both Internet access Access to an email account Access to a desktop or a laptop computer
