As we work toward our vision of becoming the one-stop shop for all home services, we're seeking an analytical and detail-oriented SEO Analyst to join our growing team.

As an SEO Analyst at LawnStarter, you will support organic traffic growth initiatives through SEO testing, data analysis, technical optimization, and content strategy implementation. This role combines analytical skills with SEO expertise to help drive our organic search performance.

Key responsibilities

Own the SEO testing roadmap, architecting and implementing SERP and on-page SEO tests while prioritizing those against conversion rate optimization tests across our websites. Evangelize SEO testing learnings to the broader growth team, updating our best practice documentation as needed. Assist with various SEO initiatives, including technical SEO initiatives, site audits, keyword research, and content optimization projects. Analyze SEO performance data using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Google Search Console to identify opportunities and track KPIs. Support the implementation of on-page optimization strategies, including meta descriptions, title tags, and content structure. Closely monitor site health metrics and alerts, investigating issues when needed and reporting any technical issues that may impact SEO performance and need engineering attention. Collaborate with content and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are followed. Track and report on organic search performance, providing regular updates on key metrics and recommendations. Help maintain SEO documentation and processes as needed. Stay current with SEO trends (AI tools for SEO, for example) and algorithm updates.

Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of experience in SEO or related digital marketing role Experience running traditional SEO tests (title tag, meta description, on-page content, etc.) for high volume websites Experience with conversion rate optimization testing Strong analytical skills with experience in SEO tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush or similar) Basic understanding of HTML and technical SEO principles Experience with keyword research and content optimization Familiarity with mobile optimization and site speed factors Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organization and planning skills Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
