Watchtower Security Services provides uniformed security officers for commercial properties, residential communities, and corporate facilities. As a Security Officer, you will serve as a visible deterrent to crime, protect people and property, and represent our company with integrity and respect at all times.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol assigned properties on foot or by vehicle to ensure the safety and security of residents, tenants, employees, and visitors.
- Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and common spaces to deter unauthorized activity or suspicious behavior.
- Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and calls for service, following company and site-specific post orders.
- Enforce property rules and regulations in a professional, respectful, and consistent manner.
- Observe and report any hazards, safety issues, maintenance needs, or policy violations.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely written incident and daily activity reports.
- Communicate effectively with residents, clients, law enforcement, and company supervisors.
- Assist with access control, visitor management, and key or badge control where required.
- Support emergency response efforts, including evacuations, medical incidents, or disturbances.
- Represent Watchtower Security Services with a professional appearance, punctuality, and positive attitude.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Security Officer, guard, or in a similar protective services role preferred.
- Valid state security guard license or ability to obtain one as required by local regulations.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail; able to remain alert and vigilant over long periods.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience writing incident or daily activity reports is a strong plus.
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays as required by post assignments.
- Reliable transportation to and from assigned sites; valid driver’s license preferred.
- Physically able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and respond quickly in emergencies.
- Professional, customer-service-oriented attitude when dealing with residents, tenants, and visitors.
- Willingness to follow instructions, post orders, and company policies consistently.
