Web developer commissioning lead – Walthamstow – Full Time – 3 month contract
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced web developer to join an established team within a large organisation.
You will lead in the development and support of frontend web services provided by the Development and Support team. As a Web Developer you will work across a range of digital projects and service optimisation improvements. You will set development standards working collaboratively with the digital team and ensure high quality processes; code and integrations are delivered in line with service and customer goals.
Duties and responsibilities to include:
Act as the main day to day point of contact for partners and suppliers and define and own the commissioning approach to deliver new web solutions.
Work closely with the Digital Support Officer helping with the resolution of the smaller development tasks seeking to resolve any that can be easily completed without Senior Development.
Make important contributions to strategic projects and digital service improvements, working with stakeholders within Services and across the Corporate Development team (Transformation, Communications, IT and Digital)
Build strong relationships with senior and junior representatives from across the organisation, acting as a Digital Champion, educating and advocating the use and benefits of digital services.
To be suitable for this opportunity you must have:
Significant experience in an agile environment, ideally being Agile certified.
Experience in Drupal, HTML, Javascript, jquery, CSS, AchieveForms, amazon EC2 and other web development languages and skills
Experience developing digital services using Firmstep software, including My account, Service (CRM), Dash, Mobile and Forms and intergrating these with other applications
Excellent understanding of API development, documentation and best practices.
Solid experience using database structured query language (SQL).
