This role serves as the Senior Developer on a federal application development effort. This person defines and directs technical specifications and tasks for web applications, defines target dates of tasks and subtasks, and provides guidance and assistance in coordinating output and technical adequacy of delivered code.  Role Specific Duties: Perform hands-on development of web applications and provide technical leadership and guidance as required Sound understanding of 3-tier architecture of web applications and data management Experience with large scale system design and architecture using cloud native services (AWS or Azure) Assist in interpreting software requirements and design specifications to code and integrate and test software components. Provide production support and maintain existing systems by researching and troubleshooting any problems Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and help resolve limitations Analyze computer source code and live performance indicators to locate code problems and correct errors Define and direct technical specifications and tasks to be performed by team members, define target dates of tasks and subtasks. Required Qualifications: Additional Requirements as per contract/client: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 8+ years’ experience developing software and/or web applications Working knowledge of Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles Experience working in highly collaborative Agile teams 5+ years of development experience with API, Java, JavaScript, Spring, Struts/AJAX, and other MVC frameworks Strong experience designing highly modular, secure, scalable web and backend systems Application development with Eclipse, WebInspect security scanning tools, JBOSS Enterprise Application Platform (EAP), HTML, Perl, Microservices, PHP, etc. Experience with Informix Database and database migration Working experience with AWS platform and cloud services for migrating and modernization of on-premise web applications on the cloud Familiarity with VPC, Subnet, API Gateway, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, RDS, Route53, etc. Experience with various test mechanisms (unit, integration, user acceptance, etc.) Must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills while functioning effectively under time constraints in a dynamic environment where quality results are imperative Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to handle multiple projects, respond well to shifting priorities, work well under pressure Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.  Benefits: At Makpar Corporation we understand that we all need to balance work and life – that is why we have a great benefits package, excellent training and career development opportunities, flexible work schedules along with a generous compensation package.
