Job Summary:
Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing daily product inventory and oversee warehouse operations to support Sales and Delivery. Ensuring safety and maximum internal and external customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision of personnel in 2nd Shift, including performance evaluation feedback
- Supervise and assist pulling orders in preparation for the next mornings delivery
- Follow up and control daily absence and overtime
- Ensure that workplace’s health and safety requirements are met
- Take responsibility for security of the building and stock
- Maintain housekeeping of offices, warehouse and surrounding area
- Assist as needed unloading and receiving inbound loads
- Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
- Hold monthly meetings with subordinates to evaluate execution of safety standards
- Ensure open communication about working environment
- Communicate openly with other departments
- Report on team and individual performance to Warehouse Manager
- Develop and execute innovative operations strategies
- Follows all requirements written in handbook
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Required:
- Must be 21 years of age or older with a Valid Driver’s license
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience as a supervisor or manager
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or distribution environment
- Ability to become Forklift certified
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field from a four-year college or university
- 3+ years’ experience as a supervisor or manager
- 3+ years of experience in the Distribution Industry
Physical Requirements: Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., climb, reach and perform various physical maneuvers to perform the essential functions of the job.
