About the Opportunity
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Own accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and forecasting across departments.
    • Deliver timely, accurate financial reports that empower decision-making.
    • Collaborate closely with other departments to align financial planning and budgeting with company goals.
    • Implement financial strategies to support scalable growth.
  • Public Company Compliance:
    • Lead compliance with public company reporting, filings, and legal requirements.
    • Manage audits, tax filings, MD&A, and external stakeholder relationships.
    • Interact with legal teams to ensure all regulatory and contractual obligations are met.
    • Oversee capital raise management and contribute to strategies for funding growth.
    • Support investor relations, including preparing materials and communications for shareholders and potential investors.
    • Anticipate regulatory changes and ensure we stay ahead of the curve.
  • Corporate Finance & Strategy:
    • Provide insights on debt-to-equity structures and other financing opportunities.
    • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to evaluate strategic growth initiatives.
    • Bring M&A experience to support potential acquisitions or strategic partnerships.
    • Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and advisors.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Streamline and modernize financial systems and reporting processes.
    • Automate and improve workflows—you’re allergic to bad processes and seek efficiency wherever possible.
    • Drive scalability across finance operations.
    • Oversee a small team, including outsourced accounts receivable and payable functions.
    • Introduce best practices to create a high-performing finance function.
About You
  • A CFA with 10 years in finance leadership roles.
  • Experience in public company compliance and regulatory reporting is a must; public market experience is ideal.
  • Skilled in corporate finance, including debt-to-equity structures and M&A.
  • Proven ability to improve processes and implement systems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experienced in cross-departmental collaboration, particularly around budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Comfortable managing and mentoring a small team, including outsourced functions.
  • Analytical, results-oriented, and ready to tackle challenges head-on.
  • A leader who embodies integrity, transparency, and collaboration.
Salary Range
$180,000 - $200,000 / year
