Our client, the world's leading search engine and technology company, is seeking a UX Writer II. This is a 6 month + contract position located in Mountain View, CA or New York, NY.Description:
The client shopping is looking for a senior UX Writer/Content Designer to drive clear, engaging content for both merchant- and user-facing journeys for the Holiday 2022 season.
We're looking for a UX Writer to focus on the Merchant Promotions and Badging to drive value for consumers and merchants. Promotions is one of the key growth tools for merchants to drive consumer demand and Badging is a key lever Merchants use to demonstrate quality and trust to potential consumers.
You will work alongside a cross-functional team of PMs, Engineers, UX Researchers and Strategists.
This role calls for strong partnerships with numerous UX teams across Merchant, Consumer and many other product teams at client. Your ability to collaborate effectively will be the key towards crafting premium experiences to grow Merchant business through client.
This is a unique opportunity to embed deeply within a high-velocity cross-functional team to define and build out critical experiences that ladder up to a client-level.
You'll have significant opportunities for leadership, autonomy, and foundational product impact.
Responsibilities:
Deliver our Promotions, Badging, and Insights Holiday 2022 content objectives via the following:
Provide strategic product direction and hands-on writing support for Promotions and Badging, collaborating with partner teams (Consumer shopping, Search, Ads, Merchant Center, New Merchant Experience, etc.)
Identify opportunities for x-product content alignment and UX improvements
Contribute to product narratives and help drive product vision and goals
Collaborate with external providers to provide quality guidelines and metrics for partner content streams
Articulate user journeys with scenarios, storyboards and presentations, low- and high-fidelity mocks, detailed interaction specs, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
Partner with various product teams to align on product solutions that consider consistency across the Merchant ecosystem
Lead development of writing guidelines, terminology, voice/tone standards, and content patterns
Communicate effectively in a cross-functional product development team and present ideas and designs effectively
Participate in scoping and prioritization
Develop research hypotheses and participate in user interviews to identify pain points with existing tools and workflows
Develop strong partnerships with UX, UXR, UXW, PM and Eng. partners. Proactive collaboration with cross functional team members is expected.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Literature, Business, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Content Strategy, Critical Thinking, Critical User Journeys, Written Communication, Collaboration, Figma 3 years of experience in writing, editorial, marketing, UX writing, or related, as well as leading content strategy projects.
Value on UX-focused product writing and shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects.
Portfolio highlighting UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines.
Mastery of translating complex terminology into plain language
Ability to lead, collaborate and influence cross-functional partners in engineering, design and product management teams
Ability to create data-driven solutions that consider user insights, technical constraints, and business needs
Strong track record of producing high-quality content that's clear, consistent, and concise
Systems thinker with an eye for details and experience creating frameworks and content patterns
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize what matters most, and set realistic expectations about what you can deliver
Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)

5+ years of relevant content design experience
Experience working on global brands/experiences

Analytical thinking about customer journeys and content flows, framing and scaling content design solutions
Comfortable with A/B testing: Forming a hypothesis, designing a test, and building off results
