UX Lead
About the job
We’re looking for a UX Lead to shape and elevate the end-to-end product experience. This role bridges strategy and craft - balancing user needs, business goals, and team growth. You’ll guide designers and writers, establish strong systems, and define what success in UX looks like across the company.
Key Responsibilities
● Define UX Success Criteria: Partner with stakeholders to establish clear measures of UX quality and usability; track and advocate for these standards across product development.
● Design System Stewardship: Build, maintain, and evolve a scalable design system that ensures consistency and efficiency across platforms.
● Voice & Tone Governance: Collaborate with UX writers to define and maintain copy standards that reflect brand personality and support usability.
● Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-disciplinary UX team (designers and writers), providing guidance, feedback, and career development support.
● Collaboration & Influence: Work closely with product and engineering leads to champion user-centered design and align execution with strategy.
● Hands-on Contribution: When needed, contribute directly to design and writing work to model best practices and set quality benchmarks.
Qualifications
● 6+ years in UX design, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.
● Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design processes and outcomes.
● Proven experience building or managing a design system.
● Skilled in shaping voice and tone guidelines in collaboration with UX writers.
● Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
● Track record of mentoring and developing designers or writers.
