Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a UI/UX Developer to work for our company.
Summary:
- Client Agency is DHS
- Must be able to pass DHS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include: U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
- Will be responsible for executing customer/user experience (CX/UX) strategies and creating products that engage users.
- Will manage the CX/UX related planning, prioritization and decision making. Will advocate for broader CX/UX activities in support as needed.
- Will lead and participate in sessions that leverage CX/UX design methods and strategies.
- Will translate user needs into concepts, personas, user journeys, information architecture, user flows, wireframes and visual design prototypes using tools such as Figma, Mural, and Optimal Workshop.
- Will conduct and synthesize user research and usability testing and translate those results into designs that will improve products in an iterative fashion.
- Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders to articulate the CX vision, tradeoffs, and decisions.
- Will lead efforts to develop and implement design patterns and information architecture that adhere to brand guidelines for web and mobile design.
- Will collaborate with trusted testers to ensure that all front-end design and development work is Section 508 compliant for accessibility.
- Will balance user needs with product owner priorities and technical feasibility.
- Will drive a plain language content strategy to facilitate an easy-to-understand user experience for all users.
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass DHS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include: U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
- Must have 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Must have hands-on and theoretical experience with Agile framework or Agile software delivery.
- Hands-on experience with web design.
- Hands-on experience with mobile development design.
- Must be proficient in human centered design, change management, be proficient in the latest CX/UX methods and technology trends.
- Must have hands-on experience with the following languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Must have hands-on experience with digital programming tools.
- Must have experience translating user needs into concepts, personas, user journeys, information architecture, user flows, wireframes and visual design prototypes using tools such as Figma, Mural, and Optimal Workshop.
- Must be willing and able to attend on-site meetings in Camp Springs, MD on an as needed basis.
- Must be willing and able to participate in a code challenge and orals presentation.
