Job Description:

We’re looking for a Training Specialist to join our Insurance Operations team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to deliver an effective and comprehensive process training for John Hancock Life Insurance New Business – Front-End team, aligned with the needs of the team and function to ensure adequate and highly skilled workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Operations to identify training needs and map out annual training plans for internal teams

  • Facilitates product and process training for new hires and cross-training using varied facilitation methods – instructor-led classroom (in-person or virtual), instructor-led deskside, hands-on training, coaching and mentoring

  • Develops and implements training curriculum, training plan and production glide paths

  • Make recommendations to improve and maintain staff knowledge inventory based on sound data

  • Updates and maintains training documentation in line with policies and procedures

  • Manages the training queues effectively, to ensure that no work falls out of TAT

Qualifications:

  • Training Delivery Expertise: Proven ability to effectively deliver product and process training using a variety of methods, including instructor-led sessions (both in-person and virtual), hands-on training, and mentoring.

  • Curriculum Development: Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive training curricula and plans, ensuring they align with team needs and organizational goals.

  • Collaboration and Planning: Ability to collaborate with operations to identify training needs and create detailed annual training plans for internal teams.

  • Analytical and Documentation Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations, along with the ability to update and maintain training documentation per policies and procedures.

  • Organizational and Time Management: Excellent organizational skills to manage training queues efficiently and ensure tasks are completed within turnaround times (TAT), along with readiness to adapt to new corporate teaching techniques.
