Teacher of ICT & Computer Science

We are currently seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and dynamic teacher to join our team as a Teacher of ICT & Computer Science. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and either ICT or Computer Science qualifications at Key Stage 4 (KS4).

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in Computer Science at KS3 and ICT/Computer Science qualifications at KS4.
• Foster an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that engages and challenges all students.
• Support students in developing both their technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater for different learning styles.
• Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum and resources.
• Manage student progress and provide feedback on their academic achievements.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent consultations, and professional development activities.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds a relevant degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a closely related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience of teaching Computer Science and/or ICT at KS3 and KS4 (though newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply).
• Passionate about engaging students in the world of technology, coding, and digital skills.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience teaching a Computer Science or ICT qualification (e.g. GCSE, BTEC).
• Knowledge of current developments in the field of computing and education.
