Art & Photography Teacher
At Chiltern Hills, we are committed to fostering creativity and artistic expression in our students. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art & Photography Teacher to join our dynamic team and inspire the next generation of artists.
Key Responsibilities:
Innovative Teaching: Plan and deliver effective, creative, and varied Art & Photography lessons tailored to the needs of students.
Fieldwork Leadership: Plan, resource, and lead fieldwork activities across all key stages of Art & Photography.
Support and Collaboration: Fully support the Curriculum Lead and other Art & Photography staff in raising attainment and achievement.
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the review and development of departmental schemes of work with colleagues.
Assessment: Ensure pupils are assessed in line with departmental and school policy.
Departmental Engagement: Attend and contribute to Art & Photography department meetings and other relevant meetings.
Policy Adherence: Follow departmental policies and self-evaluation processes, contributing to their development as needed.
Promotion of Art & Photography: Promote the subjects within the school and assist other staff in doing so.
Professional Development: Maintain personal development and expertise by staying up-to-date with current subject matter and initiatives, and accessing appropriate training.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Art, Photography, or a related field.
Teaching qualification preferred (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Ideally experience teaching Art & Photography at various key stages.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
A passion for art and education.
