leading construction company in Canada is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Supervisor for Residential Construction to oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion. This role offers visa sponsorship for non-Canadian residents who possess the requisite experience and skills in residential construction supervision.Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from start to finish within a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Coordinate and supervise construction workers and subcontractors.
- Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
- Review the work progress on a daily basis and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems on site and to resolve any emerging ones.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience as a construction supervisor or in a similar role in residential construction.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSH guidelines.
- Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Aptitude in math and problem-solving.
- Eligibility to work in Canada (visa sponsorship is available for this role).
- Education and Qualification:
- A diploma in a relevant field, such as construction management, architecture, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Certification in project management is an asset.
