Strategic Market Access Manager 

 

Main Purpose

The position aims to enhance the company's market access capabilities in Poland by focusing on strategic stakeholder engagement and broadening portfolio thinking. The role centers on fostering partnerships with key decision-makers, understanding payer perspectives, and negotiating effectively to ensure our products remain accessible and reimbursed.

 

Key Working Relations (internal / external)

  • Internal: CEE MACS Capability Home Head, Market Access Managers in Poland and within CEE, Pricing Managers, Country Managers, Commercial and Marketing representatives, Medical Affairs, Finance Business Partners, Regulatory Affairs, O2C/Logistic, Liaising with Health Economics & Pricing departments of HQ including Global MACS department
  • External: Pricing and reimbursement authorities, stakeholders of reimbursement and market access (e.g. country parliamentary health committee, Ministry of Health, Health Insurances, other reimbursement process personnel), vendors, advisory boards, healthcare professionals, and industry groups.

 

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic access plans that align with business objectives while ensuring long-term sustainability in the market.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, payer organizations, and other relevant entities, to advocate for our portfolio and facilitate positive health outcomes.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure all market access activities are aligned with business strategy and are internally coherent.
  • Facilitate the development of local health economy processes that positively influence the uptake of Bayer brands, including the development of protocols, formularies and guidelines for payers.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of the healthcare environment in Poland to identify opportunities and challenges, providing insights to cross-functional teams.
  • Lead strategic negotiations with payers and relevant bodies to secure product reimbursement and access.
  • Manage and expand relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration.
  • Provide intelligence and insights into payer dynamics, health policy changes and potential shifts in the market landscape, advising on strategic adjustments.
  • Innovate and co-create with customers strategic access initiatives to address unmet healthcare needs, boosting the positioning of our products.
  • prepare pricing & reimbursement dossiers as well budget impact models with help of HQ and/or local vendorsand lead Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submission, HE models with ability to assess implications and recommend further steps.
  • lead the negotiation with payers/authorities in co-creative manner with other local team members.

 

Who you are? 

  • University degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Business, or similar
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in market access, payer relations, or healthcare strategy, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with high-level stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of Poland's healthcare system, payer priorities, and reimbursement landscape
  • Proven strategic thinking capabilities with a track record of successfully developing and implementing market access strategies
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluency in Polish and English.
