Job Description for Steelman
- Fabricates, cuts, welds, and assembles steel for use in construction or industrial projects.
- Interprets technical blueprints to fabricate steel parts, such as beams and supports.
- Welds steel components using various techniques to ensure strong and durable joints.
- Collaborates with engineers and other trades to ensure steel components fit seamlessly.
- Verifies that steel structures meet design and safety specifications.
- Adheres to safety standards when working with heavy machinery and materials.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; training in welding, steel fabrication is a plus.
- At least 1 year of experience in steel fabrication or construction.
- Proficient in welding, cutting, and shaping steel materials, reading blueprints and familiar with fabrication tools.
- Ability to adhere to safety standards while working with heavy equipment.
