The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing the day-to-day tasks like preparing financial statements, and reconciling accounts. Other responsibilities involve assisting with audits and budgets, processing transactions, and analyzing financial data to identify areas for improvement. This position requires working in the Corporate Headquarters office, located in Overland Park, KS. This is not a remote or hybrid role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Perform routine financial and accounting tasks such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Maintain financial records, the general ledger, accounts payable, and receivable files
- Prepare and post monthly closing journal entries
- Complete bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and tax obligations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent Excel skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- NetSuite experience is preferred
