Sr. System Engineer/Desktop Support Engineer

What we need from you?
· Must have NV2 security clearance.
· Provide technical support domestically including travel, some international travel opportunities may be required. Complex ICT Systems.
· Desktop - capable of install/support of end-user compute software and hardware.
· Printers - capable of installation and troubleshooting hardware and software.
· UPS - understanding of Uninterruptible Power Supply function and installation/maintenance.
· Physical Network and Server infrastructure - base understanding and operability of network and server devices and distribution cabling.

Our client is responsible for managing Australia's international relations, trade, development, and consular services. Also works with other agencies to drive coordination, regional and bilateral interests.
Key duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide technical support for ICT systems across domestic sites, with occasional international travel.
· Install and maintain client's IT, network, and communications infrastructure.
· Troubleshoot issues, offer general technical advice, and ensure smooth system operations.
· Review and update documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Work independently or within a team with minimal supervision.
· Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
· Apply strong problem-solving skills and a proactive learning mindset.
· Perform ICT installation tasks, including after-hours or weekend work as required.
Desirable:
· Experience with network routing/switching (DHCP, VLANs), Open Cabling Registration, First Aid, and relevant safety certifications.
· Background in government ICT systems and DFAT operations is a plus.
