Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior EPC Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and closeout of medium to large-scale electric substation, transmission, and distribution projects. This individual will serve as the single point of accountability for all aspects of project delivery—scope, cost, schedule, safety, and quality—within a remote-first environment.
This role offers a 6-month contract with the intent to convert to a full-time, direct hire based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead remote project execution teams while ensuring safety, profitability, and schedule adherence.
Manage EPC project scope and drive all phases from engineering handoff through commissioning.
Oversee stakeholder engagement, client communication, and project performance metrics.
Administer contracts, change orders, risk management, and financial controls.
Conduct remote project meetings and maintain detailed reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Mentor junior project managers and team members.
Ensure adherence to EH&S, QA/QC, and PMBOK standards.
Collaborate with material manufacturers and subcontractors on transmission and substation projects.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of project management experience in the utility or electrical infrastructure sector.
3+ years of direct EPC project experience.
PMP Certification required.
Strong understanding of contract types (Fixed Price, T&M, Cost Plus).
Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project and/or Primavera.
Deep understanding of engineering and project accounting principles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience leading remote and cross-functional teams.
Strong decision-making, risk assessment, and financial management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
OSHA 30 Certification.
