Job Description Summary
OneSource Virtual is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of our advanced IT infrastructure in a hybrid-cloud environment. This role requires expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), system administration (Windows, Red Hat), virtualization (VMware), and identity management (Entra ID, Office 365, Okta). The ideal candidate will drive our cloud transformation, system resilience, and automation initiatives while fostering team development. This hybrid position requires on-site presence in Dallas, TX, or Phoenix, AZ, as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and manage AWS and Azure environments, focusing on resource provisioning, performance optimization, and security governance.
• Lead hybrid-cloud transformation initiatives and ensure system resilience.
• Administer Windows and Linux servers, VMware, and identity management systems (Entra ID, Office 365, Okta).
• Automate infrastructure management using PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible.
• Ensure 24/7 system availability with proactive monitoring and incident response.
• Develop business continuity, disaster recovery, and security strategies.
• Provide cross-platform support (Windows, Linux, Mac) and leverage RMM tools for remote management.
• Apply knowledge of enterprise networking in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Promote self-growth and support the professional development of colleagues.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• 7+ years of IT systems engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or 10+ years without a degree).
• Strong skills in:
◦ Windows and Red Hat administration, AWS, Azure, VMware, Entra ID, Office 365, Exchange, Okta, and Microsoft Intune.
◦ Automation, scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Ansible), RMM tools, and cloud lifecycle management.
◦ High-availability cloud system design, troubleshooting, and security best practices.
◦ Cloud networking principles and Active Directory Domain Services.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, Red Hat Certified Engineer).
