Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer with expertise in manual testing and a foundational understanding of automation testing. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong analytical skills, and be eager to contribute to our QA processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure quality.
• Develop, document, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data.
• Execute test plans and test cases and report test results.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and provide timely feedback.
• Track and manage defects using issue tracking tools.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts for regression testing.
• Participate in the design and implementation of test automation frameworks.
• Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential issues in the early stages of development.
• Ensure compliance with QA standards and procedures.
• Have knowledge for postman API testing using postman scripts, Prepare and maintain test suites around it.

Qualification and Experience:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in manual testing of software applications.
• Basic understanding of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit).
• Familiarity with test management and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Java,JavaScript).
• Automation is a big plus (Selenium,Cypress)
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
