The Tactical Reconnaissance & Strike (TRS) division at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and all equipment to test, deploy and operate. The organization is responsible for taking products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt and Altius from paper sketches to operational systems. We are looking for an experienced software engineer for the Vehicle Infrastructure team within TRS. This team is responsible for the common software backbone on which TRS products are built. This common software backbone includes core infrastructure for tasking, autonomous behaviors, contingency management, telemetry, and more. The ideal candidate is a software generalist who is excited to make impactful contributions to Anduril’s portfolio of UAS products.

Must be eligible to obtain and hold a US DoD Security Clearance. This position will be located at our headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA OR Seattle, WA (relocation benefits provided).


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own major feature development, including design, implementation, testing and rollout.
  • Write and maintain core systems that all TRS products will use.
  • Work closely with our vehicle software teams during product development, understanding their needs, and delivering high leverage software they are able to use bring their product to market.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems
  • Experience working with and testing electrical and mechanical systems
  • Strong C++ or Rust experience in a Linux development environment


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience programming for embedded and physical devices
  • Eligible to obtain and hold a US DoD Security Clearance.
  • Python, Rust, and/or Go experience
US Salary Range
$138,000$207,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
