Job Overview

We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Expertia AI. This full-time position is based in Bangalore Urban with remote and hybrid work options available. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience and a passion for building scalable HR technology solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in JavaScript (Mandatory skill) is essential for developing interactive and high-performance user interfaces across platforms.
• Demonstrated experience working within Agile Methodologies (Mandatory skill), ensuring rapid product iteration and effective team collaboration.
• Hands-on expertise in MongoDB (Mandatory skill) to design, implement, and manage scalable NoSQL database structures for varied applications.
• Strong knowledge of JIRA for task management, sprint planning, and streamlining project workflows in an Agile development environment.
• Practical experience with Continuous Integration tools and processes to automate builds, testing, and deployment, increasing productivity and reliability.
• Proficiency in Unit Testing to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability by designing effective test cases and participating in code reviews.
• Working knowledge of Python, contributing to backend development, data processing tasks, or automation in production-grade systems.
• Experience using SQL for writing queries, data manipulation, and efficiently managing relational databases to support evolving business needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust software features and modules that enhance Expertia AI’s HR-tech platform and support business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participating in Agile sprints to deliver high-value product increments on schedule.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using JavaScript, Python, and related technologies for scalable applications.
• Implement database solutions using MongoDB and SQL, optimizing performance, security, and scalability for real-world use cases.
• Utilize JIRA and agile best practices to track progress, provide estimates, and communicate development status effectively.
• Participate in continuous integration processes, ensuring rigorous code testing, peer code reviews, and timely deployments.
• Develop and execute comprehensive unit tests to ensure reliability and minimize defects in production systems.
• Proactively research new technologies and propose innovative approaches to solve technical challenges in the HR services domain.
