Job Description
Join our team and you’ll be responsible for helping us build and maintain scalable backend services that power millions of job searches every day.
Working in the Data Products domain, you will work with modern Java (17+), Spring Boot, and microservices, contributing to reliable, secure, and high-performing systems. If you also know Python, that’s a great plus — we value engineers who bring versatility and curiosity to the team.
You will play a vital role as we reimagine the labour market to make it work for everybody.
Your responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java (Spring Boot) and build and optimize microservices and RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver clean, efficient code
- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud (AWS), and write unit and integration tests and ensure code quality through reviews
- Participate in system design discussions and propose improvements
- Work with Python for automation, data integration, or serverless (AWS Lambda) projects
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in backend development with Java (Spring, Spring Boot)
- Strong grasp of OOP, SOLID, DRY, and design principles
- Experience with databases, REST APIs, and testing tools (JUnit, Mockito) and familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and monitoring practices
- Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud environments (AWS)
- Nice to have: Experience with Python, Terraform, or serverless applications
