MyFitnessPal is seeking an experienced Software Engineer III, iOS to join their engineering team. The role involves making a significant impact on users through expertise in the iOS development environment. Team members value collaboration, mentorship, and inclusivity. As part of the TOTS Team, the engineer will contribute to the core of the business's revenue engine, focusing on Premium subscriptions and features.
Work closely with design and UI teams to implement native mobile interfaces following iOS Human Interface Guidelines.
Improve user experience by optimizing UI, data storage, and network communications.
Independently build and deliver high-quality features and improvements.
Research and implement technical solutions to achieve business goals.
Provide thought leadership on industry best practices around design, testing, security, and deployment.
Mentor and coach team members.
Collaborate with product teams to define and refine feature specifications.
Transform big ideas into simple, effective solutions.
4+ years of relevant work experience in iOS development.
Experience using Objective-C and Swift in an Agile environment.
Skills in writing unit tests and testable code.
Comfort with multithreaded programming.
Experience working with RESTful APIs.
Substantial experience with Git in a team environment.
Familiarity with relational databases and package managers.
Some experience with CI/CD.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mentality.
Excitement for mentoring junior developers.
Demonstrated kindness and empathy.
Approximately 10% travel requirement.
