We’re on a mission to open the world’s financial system to everyone by enabling the instant movement of any asset, any time, in a trustworthy way. For over a decade, we’ve built blockchain infrastructure that tokenizes, custodies, trades and settles assets for the world’s leading financial institutions, like PayPal, Venmo, Mastercard and Interactive Brokers.

About the team

The Financial Automation team at Paxos builds and maintains critical infrastructure for financial operations, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and seamless flow across systems. We develop automation solutions to streamline billing, invoicing, and financial reporting, enhancing efficiency and precision in revenue operations. Our engineers transform complex workflows into scalable, secure systems that evolve with business needs. By automating financial reporting and transaction management, we drive innovation and enable data-driven decision-making, ensuring our financial systems remain robust, transparent, and primed for growth.

About the role

As a Software Engineer on the Financial Automation Team, you will be responsible for building and optimizing automation solutions that power billing, invoicing, and financial reporting at Paxos. You will work with experienced engineers to develop scalable, data-driven systems that ensure accuracy, efficiency, and reliability in financial operations. This role is a unique opportunity to grow in the fintech space, work on mission-critical financial systems, and contribute to scalable automation solutions that drive Paxos’ financial success.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain financial automation systems that handle large-scale transaction processing with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work on data integrity challenges, ensuring that billing, invoicing, and financial reports remain consistent and error-free across multiple systems.
  • Help optimize performance and scalability of financial data pipelines, ensuring they can handle increasing transaction volumes.
  • Contribute to automating manual financial workflows, reducing operational overhead and improving process efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex financial reconciliation issues, ensuring smooth revenue tracking and reporting.

About you

  • 3+ years of software development experience, with proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Golang, Kotlin, Rust, Java, C++, Python.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed system design.
  • Experience designing, developing, maintaining production services
  • Ability to write high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • A passion for learning and applying new technologies to solve real-world problems.
