Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Social Worker to join the Fostering Team in Huyton. This ongoing locum role offers an excellent hourly rate of £38.24 and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families. The successful candidate will thrive in a hybrid working model, benefit from strong team support, and access continuous professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake regular supervision, support visits, and unannounced visits to a range of approved Foster Carers, including both Mainstream Carers and Family and Friends Foster Carers

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with foster carers, ensuring they are well supported and guided in their roles

  • Create, implement and review care plans in line with best practice and legislation, always prioritising the needs of children and young people

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with legal and organisational requirements

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and professionals to deliver a high-quality fostering service and improve outcomes for children in care
