We’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Site Reliability Engineering team who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, take ownership, and build with us; through the grind and the wins.

This Is What You Will Achieve

• Empower the EV revolution: your work will help power hundreds of thousands of chargers and accelerate sustainable transportation across Europe.
• Build reliability at scale: you’ll ensure Monta’s platform is observable, performant, and resilient across distributed systems.
• Transform operations: automate, measure, and optimize infrastructure to empower every engineering team.
• Shape our platform’s future: influence how Monta designs, deploys, and scales mission-critical systems.

What You Will Do

• Design and operate scalable infrastructure across AWS and Kubernetes; from networking to observability.
• Improve reliability and performance through automation, SLOs, and proactive monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Mimir).
• Partner with developers to enable fast, safe deployments using GitOps (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Crossplane, Terraform).
• Contribute to incident response and on-call: you’ll be part of our paid OnCall rotation, ensuring stability and responsiveness.
• Continuously evolve our systems: identify bottlenecks, reduce toil, and simplify complex processes.
• Document and share learnings to build a culture of knowledge and resilience across Monta.

• Hands-on engineer who thrives in a production environment with complex systems.
• Clear and pragmatic communicator: can simplify complexity and drive alignment across teams.
• Curious and proactive: eager to learn new technologies and improve operational excellence.
• Collaborative teammate: values empathy, openness, and ownership.
• Comfortable with AI-powered tools (Copilot, Notion AI, ChatGPT, Claude Code) and keen to explore how AI can augment reliability and automation.

Technical Landscape

• Core Infrastructure: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD, GitOps
• Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Mimir, Tempo
• Databases: MySQL (RDS), PostgreSQL (RDS), Redis (ElastiCache)
• Application code: PHP (Laravel), Kotlin (Micronaut), Go, Flutter, React
• Networking & Delivery: Cloudflare, NLB, Envoy
• AI & Automation Tools: ChatGPT, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Notion AI

🤖 AI Competency

You’ll be expected to experiment with and adopt AI tools to improve productivity, reliability, and automation.

Examples include:

• Using Copilot or Claude Code for faster, safer infrastructure code.
• Employing ChatGPT for run book generation, troubleshooting, and system documentation.
• Integrating AI-assisted monitoring and testing into observability workflows.
