We are currently seeking talented individuals for our Service & Maintenance Technician (SMT) position!

Here is some of what you’ll do…

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Sales Operations Supervisor, the SMT exists to maintain producation by completing preventative maintenance requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Maintains equipment by cleaning, lubricating, and greasing parts with a wash rack steam cleaner and high pressure washer.
2. Prolongs endurance of equipment by completing preventative maintenance schedules.
3. Documents actions by completing maintenance logs.
4. Completes deliveries and pickups by identifying destination, selecting the route, and driving the vehicle.
5. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
6. Maintains continuity among work teams by communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
7. Determines condition of equipment by inspecting equipment before and after use, reporting damages and discrepancies.
8. Maintains stock inventory to determine amount available, anticipating needed stock, placing and expediting orders for stock, and verifying receipt of stock.
9. Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Must have a valid Drivers License with a good driving record.
3. Must have PC skills.
4. Must be forklift certified or able to be certified within 60 days.
5. Must have the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
6. Must have the ability to multi-task and complete assignments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

1. Walking: Moves about on foot, often through uneven terrain.
2. Hands/arms: Operates equipment and hand and power tools.
3. Handling: Seizes, helps, or works with hands.
4. Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts and tools.
5. Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
6. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
7. Standing: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
8. Climbing: In and out of equipment.
9. Raising/Lowering: Goes up and down in man lifts.
10. Vision: Reads work tickets and parts and service books and operates heavy equipment.
11. Talking: Communicates by radio, phone, and in person.
12. Hearing: Hears well enough to discern mechanical problems for safety in and around shop and construction sites and to receive communication by radio, phone, and in person.
13. Sitting: Sits in equipment and vehicles for extended periods.
14. Laying: Lies in prone position under vehicles and equipment for extended periods.
15. Lifting: Lifts up to 60lbs. daily, frequent exertion.

ENVIRONMENTAL:          

1. Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
2. Temp/Weather: Works outside and in a shop with variations of temperature and weather.
3. Exposure: Subject to foul odors, fumes, and harsh substances.
