Serve as lead designer and/or design manager of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure including treatment plants, pump stations, and hydraulic structures such as intakes and/or gate projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to layout development, hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and development of contract drawings and specifications. Exercising engineering judgement to develop solutions to complex water infrastructure challenges. Coordinate with clients, Project Managers, and multidisciplinary teams during all project phases, from schematic design to construction. Engage in our national process mechanical practice, serve as a technical resource for the region, and provide mentoring of junior engineers to grow our team's capabilities in South Florida. Establishing client relationships and supporting pump station marketing and pursuit efforts. Scoping and budgeting tasks for water infrastructure projects. 10 years of pump station design experience. Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study. Florida PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months. Excellent technical engineering in design of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure including treatment plants and pump stations. Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills and excellent technical writing skills. Experience managing preparation of and reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. Client relationship skills; including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful track record of delivering various engineering projects to the expectations of the client. Functional experience with MS Office applications. 15+ years of experience. Master's degree in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering or an MBA. Experience with large and complex water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure. Experience with complex pumping systems such as diesel driven pumps. Familiarity with pump station design standards such as Hydraulic Institute Standards and USACE Engineering Manuals. Experience with key clients in South Florida.
