Primary responsibility:
Secondary responsibilities include:
- Participate in new solution discovery and high level design sessions and document reviews representing both the ECW as well as the end to end solution from a more technical point of view (run time considerations, non functional aspects etc).
- Confirm ECW impact analysis in the high level design, often with consultation with ECW technical designer.
- Creation of ECW impact analysis "briefing" documents as input to formal ECW low level design process.
- Tracking and supporting delivery of the ECW low level design deliverable, reviewing and accepting ECW low level design deliverable.
- Facilitating alignment and acceptance of ECW low level design with impacted parties, typically the SOA and MAD API integration brokers.
- Tasking and tracking ECW system integration analyst to implement changes outlined in the low level design in the test environment (including unit testing) in preparation for integrated solution testing.
- Tasking and tracking defect investigation and resolution with ECW system integration analyst.
- Supporting ECW system integration analyst with raising CAB changes and with deployments. Typically present on solution deployment calls (about once a month).
- Overseeing operational (non project) forward schedule of changes (typically OS patches, DB patches) with dedicated ECW operations lead. Securing testing capacity with the squad.
- Collaborating with ECW project manager to align priorities and track all ECW deliveries.
- Ensure relevant documents are stored on network shares.
Secondary responsibilities include:
- Driving cross-functional execution among other technical leads for Mobile and USSD channel applications, integration brokers and backend systems as well as testers, business analysts, product owner, UX designer and solution architects.
- Promote knowledge sharing, mentoring, and team development especially with other ECW technical leads that may have less experience.
- Oversee planning and delivery to ensure scalability, performance, compliance. For example yearly capacity planning and other ECW platform level improvements including annual platform version upgrades and infrastructure upgrades.
