What does a successful Senior Storage Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will be responsible for leading multiple assignments and critical projects in delivering standard, custom, supportable infrastructure technology solutions based on architectural standards, new technology roadmaps, and business requirements as it relates to storage engineering. In addition, you will focus on automation of repeatable tasks and related processes and procedures.

What you will do:

• Work with the storage engineering team and outside consultants in architecting and designing enterprise storage solutions within business and commercial guidelines
• Improve enterprise quality and availability of storage-engineered infrastructure components
• Simplify, review, deploy, and further improve the automation of repeatable tasks and processes, including alerting, monitoring, maintenance, backup recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery
• Assist in improving storage engineering team productivity and execution with continued deployment of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) common processes, interfaces, tools, and automation
• Manage the maintenance of data storage solutions by, utilizing IBM Flash enterprise class storage, , Pure/Flashblade, InfiniDat, EMC Isilon,NetApp NAS, SAN fabric (Cisco, Brocade) infrastructure, EMC storage arrays
• Rotational on-call supporting storage operations

What you will need to have:

• 8+ years of experience in storage architecture, engineering, or operational domains
• 6+ years of experience with SAN switch technology management, storage provisioning, LUN masking, zoning, performance management, and volume management
• 4+ years of experience with cloud provider solutions and on and off premises integration related to storage offerings
• Experience with storage cyber ransomware solutions and integration
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, military, and/or work experience

What would be great to have:

• Experience with scripting languages, integration, and/or orchestration tools such as: Python, Perl, Ansible, Microsoft Power BI, VMWare vRealize (vRA and vRO), Spectrum Protect, Splunk, and Moogsoft
• Experience with Kubernetes containers
• NVME/TCP storage experience
