We are looking for an experienced team player to join one of our multicultural Engineering teams. As an engineer here, your mission is to deliver robust, high-quality code in a continuous delivery environment. You’ll work in a small, cross-functional Agile team to design & ship features and evolve our infrastructure. As a Senior Software Engineer, you are known for thinking on your feet, learning quickly, and owning a problem to resolution. You enjoy solving complex problems while contributing with new ideas and techniques, leading to continuous improvement for the team. You enjoy close collaboration to find better ways to deliver great quality software in a high-trust Engineering culture.
Requirements:
Curious and with a growth mindset. Have a passion for continuous learning, seeking out opportunities to expand your knowledge, and stretching yourself and others to achieve goals.
Strong Computer Science fundamentals in system design, data structures, and algorithms.
Five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer building and maintaining a SaaS application.
Experience maintaining, building, and optimizing REST APIs.
Experience with Python.
Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark ecosystems.
Experience with CI/CD (e.g. Gitlab CI/CD, Jenkins) and container technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with AWS.
Experience working with a team of engineers, and product owners in delivering a product to end-users.
Responsible, team-oriented, and well-organized.
Excellent communication skills in English - both written and spoken.
Preferred:
Experience with Django, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, FastAPI, Flask, SQLAlchemy.
Experience with non-relational distributed databases (e.g. Apache HBase)
Experience with Data Lakehouse tech stack (e.g. Apache Iceberg)
Able to own loosely defined features from technical design through completion, and deliver on commitments.
