Job Description
Senior Software Engineer, Hinge Health, Inc, San Francisco, CA (up to 60% telecommuting
permitted):
Write clean, maintainable software code emphasizing performance, reliability, and scalability
in relation to backend and/or systems development.
Build and manage crucial components of APIs and microservices for AI model deployment
and data processing.
Work with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to incorporate AI models, AI Agentic
solutions, and machine learning workflows into the platform.
Perform code reviews, offer feedback, and ensure adherence to technical coding standards.
Identify and solve complex issues related to platform performance and reliability.
Collaborate with teams to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions.
Design and implement end-to-end software solutions to enhance systems and reduce
bottlenecks.
Improve platform architecture and workflows according to team needs and industry practices.
Address system architectural issues, develop comprehensive implementation plans and guide
the identification and execution of best practices for coding, testing, and operational
excellence.
Provide production support and monitor applications for proper functionality and high
availability.
Mentor junior engineers on software engineering principles and AI platform development.
Utilize Python, Java, Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), RESTful APIs, Git.
Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related and two (2) years of
experience as a Software Engineer or related. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's
degree or equivalent and four (4) years of experience as a Software Engineer or related.
Two (2) years of experience utilizing each of the following tools/skills is required: Python, Java,
Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), RESTful APIs, Git.
