Description

As Senior Sales Engineer you will be responsible for supporting our sales organization in a pre-sales capacity to drive new logo acquisition, upsell and strategic renewals in your territory. You will be responsible for presentation, demos, POV execution, bridging the gap between our sales team, product development, and our prospective customers. You will also engage with your primary regional partners to drive the uptake of CyCognito within our partner community and build key relationships with technical contacts to keep us ‘front of mind’. As a senior member of the team you will play a key role in helping to refine our processes, improve documentation and generally improve our processes and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Execution: Engage with prospective customers, conducting effective technical product demonstrations and other technical positioning and consultation during the pre-sales process.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Partner with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to qualify leads, develop go-to-market strategies, partner strategies, and create tailored solutions to key business objectives with our CyCognito prospects. Lead large and complex sales opportunities, engaging with key stakeholders to define the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including product demos, proof-of-value (POV) deployments and RFP responses
  • Customer & Market Engagement: Act as trusted technical advisor for key prospects and partners, helping them understand how CyCognito’s solution aligns with their business and security objectives. Provide guidance on solution architecture, security best practices, and the technical aspects of our solution overcoming technical objections.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Aligned with the Field CTO, work closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure that customer feedback, competitive intelligence and industry trends inform the development of the product roadmap and messaging. Collaborate with the Customer Success team to ensure seamless transition from sales to post-sales implementation efforts, providing continued technical support, as necessary, and helping to drive customer adoption, satisfaction and retention.


Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity and experience in senior technical roles.
  • Demonstrated success in pre-sales technical positions.
  • Experience in supporting multiple large (complex) customer accounts.
  • Proven track record of success in SaaS market including enterprise-grade security solutions and complex selling.
  • Deep working knowledge and understanding of malware, exploits, operating system structures and their associated behavior.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in cybersecurity / intelligence / network security based tools and products including, but not limited to, SIEM systems, firewalls, IPSes, DNS, WAFs and cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to present to all levels including C-level Executives and Security Practitioners alike.
  • Ability to solve problems, resourcefulness and independence.
  • Ability to manage multiple and complex projects, priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience and confidence in speaking in front of partners and major customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, including English both written and oral.
  • Candidate Located on West Coast Preferred.
