About the job
We’re looking for an Senior Risk & Control Analyst to join our team at MBPS. In this role, you will be providing support to the Global Wealth Asset Management Risk Groups in the effective management of Operational Risks. This position supports Line 2 Risk team in the implementation and execution of an effective risk governance and management program, and with overseeing operational risk mitigation activities.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for consolidating and reporting incidents, issues and actions and other risk programs.
Support with aggregation of various metrics like Key Risk Indicators across the Global Wealth Asset Management (GWAM) businesses.
Provide support to maintain key elements of the risk program by monitoring the status and completion of business assessments and change management projects.
Build relationships with other risk team members to ensure management reporting is executed timely, accurately and efficiently.
Support the Risk Management team with their ongoing initiatives and projects.
Handle ad-hoc requests or inquiries as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 2 years in internal/external audit or risk management is preferred. Essential experience includes Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Business Incident Management, and handling Key Risk Indicators (KRIs). A theoretical understanding of Wealth and Asset Management is required, with financial industry experience being advantageous.
Educational Background: A university degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or a related field is required.
Amenable to work on a night shift schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint) is required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are essential for effectively gathering and presenting data.
Communication and Organization: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must be highly organized, capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Teamwork and Attitude: A positive work attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. The candidate should be capable of building relationships with other risk team members and handling ad-hoc requests or inquiries as needed.
