As Senior Quality Engineer, you’ll lead the development and execution of quality systems and assurance processes across the full lifecycle of our spacecraft, from component procurement to launch readiness. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with a strong path toward senior management.
About this Role:
- Support implementation and sustain a quality management system (AS9100-based QMS)
- Lead root cause investigations (RCS) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Conduct supplier audits, define qualification criteria
- Participate in engineering design reviews (Control Plans, PFMEA, etc.)
- Establish and monitor quality KPIs across operations
- Mentor junior engineers/inspectors and contribute to team scaling
Must Haves:
- 7+ years in quality engineering (aerospace or high-reliability hardware)
- Deep understanding of AS9100 or ISO9001 QMS
- Experience with root cause tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
- Familiarity with flight hardware qualification and readiness processes
- Proficiency in Jira, PLM (Arena, DURO), ERP (NetSuite), MES (ION) systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and GD&T
Nice to Haves:
- Exposure to IPC or NASA workmanship standards
- Experience with customer or agency quality audits
- Leadership experience or mentoring background
