Senior Project Engineer

About the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of engineering projects, from concept development through to commissioning.
  • Coordinate and integrate multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Prepare and review engineering documentation, specifications, datasheets, PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment lists.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Act as the main technical contact for clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Oversee risk assessments and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain adherence to quality assurance procedures and relevant industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Pr. Eng or registration in progress with ECSA is advantageous.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in project engineering and execution within the process, petrochemical, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of process plant design principles and EPC/EPCM environments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and relevant engineering software.
